Weed For Sale, $2,700 Found In Speeding Driver's Car: Cops
By JASON KOESTENBLATT

A Bayville man was arrested Monday after police say he had 50 grams of marijuana and packaging supplies in his car while allegedly speeding through a North Jersey town.

Det. Horst and Officer Zavala of the Chester Borough Police Department saw a tan four-door sedan exceeding the speed limit on Route 206 southbound near the Streets of Chester Shopping Mall and conducted a traffic stop, police said.

During the stop Horst spoke with Matthew DiMichele, 24, and smelled an odor of raw marijuana coming from inside the car, police said.

DiMichele allegedly told police his girlfriend had been smoking pot in the car on a different day, hence the smell, police said.

Police then searched the vehicle and came up with $2,730 in cash, 50 grams of marijuana, multiple pipes and plastic containers with marijuana "wax/dabs" residue, digital scale and packaging materials, and multiple items of paraphernalia.

DiMichele was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana "wax," possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to make lawful disposition. He was also given traffic summonses for careless driving and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
