TIRANA, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Albania's consumer price inflation rose to 2.8 percent in January 2017 from January 2016 and 1.5 percent from December 2016, the Institute of Statistics said on Wednesday.
January's month-on-month inflation rose from 0.9 percent in both December and January 2016, much higher than all the monthly figures of 2016. As usual, food and non-alcoholic drinks influenced the price rise the most, followed by transport. A new tax on gas for industry, cars and households caused gas prices to rise.
