While the expression "love handles" makes it sound endearing, it refers to something you don't really want. A way to hold onto someone to show your affection certainly sounds wonderful. What these "handles" really are, however, are fleshy areas that often make is hard for someone to fit into their pants. Get off the couch. At least half an hour every day you should be exercising. At least part of this should be aerobic exercise. The more time you spend sitting down and not doing much, the more weight you will pile on. Exercise is an important factor in keeping the love handles away by burning calories. An added benefit of exercise are stress fighting endorphins that help to improve your mood. There are so many positive things that come from exercise. Switch that television off, throw that bag of chips out and head out the door. Love handles have such a cute and fun name. On the contrary, they are often a source of embarrassment, irritation and an annoyance. Having a waistline that expands beyond the top of your pants or skirt is not something anyone enjoys.
