the purge full movieThe Purge: Election Year (2016) is the third episode of the ‘Purge' movie franchise, arriving on screen just in time for the hotly contested 2016 presidential election between presumptive nominees Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Year right...) Purge movie ultimately has a continuing theme running through the hour and a half that was lacking in the first two. Instead of constantly changing up hazards, as Anarchy did, Election Year follows its characters as they evade a group of mercenaries—a sporadic tour through the methods alternate-future D.C.'s black residents survive, from secret subterranean hospitals to brief coalitions of street gangs, activists, and rescue volunteers. This film runs about two hours, but you won't even feel it. It was a fast paced movie and action packed. Roan's even decided to run for president, campaigning on the promise to eliminate the Purge by executive order.

Election Year‘s primary storyline sees the return of Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) from The Purge: Anarchy, and this time he is heading security for fictional girl (with more than a passing similarity to US presidential Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), who is running for president against NFFA competing Minister Edwidge Owen (Kyle Secor). Consistent with the incompetence on full display here, there are several scenes in this movie in which it is raining yet sunny (in the portions of the picture that document the time leading up to the Purge). Gory, brutally brutal Purge thriller is bloody and fairly scary but is an amazing threequel.

After a shocking (but not actually) lapse in security, Senator Roan and her security guy, Leo (Frank Grillo), locate themselves on the roads of the capital, where they join forces with a band of independent purge dissidents: Joe (Mykelti Williamson), who owns a small grocery store; Marcos (Joseph Julian Soria), his trusted worker; and Laney (Betty Gabriel), who grew up in the neighborhood and now helps manage a covert ambulance service. The film starts off with an uninspired news program that sets up the story about a senator running for presidency whose aim would be to abolish the annual purge (an occasion where for one night all offense is legal). I 'm even more impressed by net critiques by individuals who have viewed the picture in question but you would never know it by what they say about the picture.

I believe it's safe to say when something like this existed, it'd be poor individuals who perished in record numbers and the wealthy would stay safe and sound behind secure walls, and the idea that the Purge is created as a form of economic and societal warfare, designed to slowly but certainly Sculpt all the unwanted away," is a potent one. The Purge: Election Year represents writer/director James DeMonaco's effort to squeeze an additional movie from a premise that has run dry. The purge is a sort of pressure release valve and the NFFA's answer to America's growing desire for societal decay and class warfare. Afterwards, she pleads to be spared, as she considers an honest election will be received. Election Year, like other Hollywood imaginings that are ghoulish, emerges to distort public understanding over race, firearms, immigration and other socio-political concerns - while tapping into the cultural zeitgeist of America.

Only days after the release of Election Year, two contentious officer involved shootings in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and also in St. Paul, Minnesota, led to a highly coordinated protest march in downtown Dallas that erupted into chaos after a ‘sniper' ambush targeted authorities. Roan's do gooder urges almost guarantee that someone's going to strive to do terrible to her when this year's Purge rolls around … especially since the former prohibition has been lifted by one recent rule change against targeting the political class. As casualties of the savage crimes that took place over the Purge years rally the opportunity to make a long-lasting change of Charlie begins to appear like it is within reach. If the movie had depicted Muslims there would be picket lines greeting every theaters Election Year showing.
